Training and Education Systems
PMA offers Spanish language versions of two well-respected training and assessment resources.
The Coil Fed Press Operator and Die Setter Training System is ideal for developing skilled press operators and die setters. This video-based training system has been used successfully by hundreds of contract and O.E.M. stamping companies for on-site, self-paced training. The System includes 12 instructional video tapes, manuals for the trainers and trainees with written and performance assessments, job aids for shop floor reference, record keeping forms, and certificates of completion. Its Spanish narration, video graphics, and manuals make it an ideal training tool for your facility.
The Metalworking Skills Assessment, developed by Jane Addams Resource Corporation, Chicago, IL, with assistance from PMA, is also available in Spanish. This tool is designed to evaluate the basic skills of entry-level workers, new hires and students with limited experience in metalforming with questions on basic math, applied math, measuring, print reading and fundamentals of manufacturing technology (safety, quality, machinery). The easy-to-score design provides instant results to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each test taker for developing an individualized training plan by subject area.
