CLEVELAND, OH-July 7, 2006-The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) presented an Optimizing Pressroom Processes Seminar in both Monterrey, Mexico on June 13, 2006, and Queretaro, Mexico on June 15, 2006, to develop area workers' metalforming skills. More than 60 employees from companies including Nissan, Daimler-Chrysler, Mabe and Cooper Lighting attended and reported very high levels of satisfaction for the event.
"It was great to see such enthusiasm in Mexico. Everyone was very eager to learn and ask questions," said Charmain Azzopardi of LASCO Engineering Services, who was a presenter at both sessions. The seminars, cosponsored by Queretaro-based MOLTRO, also featured speakers who presented the following sessions:
In addition to such seminars, PMA publishes MetalForming magazine in Spanish twice a year for distribution in Mexico and in English 12 issues per year for global distribution. PMA also operates the METALFORM Mexico trade show, which debuted in 2004 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City and has alternated each year between Mexico City and Monterrey to effectively cover the entire Mexican metalforming market. The 2006 exhibition is scheduled to be held on November 7-9 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City and will include additional PMA Spanish-language seminars.
PMA is the full-service trade association representing the $41-billion metalforming industry of North America-the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating and other value-added processes. Its nearly 1200 member companies include metal stampers, fabricators, spinners, slide formers and roll formers as well as suppliers of equipment, materials and services to the industry. Members are located in 30 countries, with the majority found in North America-in 41 states of the United States as well as Canada and Mexico.
