METALFORM Mexico Honored as a Top Industrial Show

CLEVELAND, OH—May 11, 2006—The 2005 METALFORM Mexico trade show has been recognized as one of the best industrial shows in Mexico by Cintermex, the Monterrey facility in which the event was held last September. Sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and Trade Show Consulting, METALFORM Mexico showcased the latest metal stamping, tool and die, forming and fabricating technology to more than 1200 attendees.

In 2005, Cintermex hosted more than 500 events and only 60 were nominated for an award. During a ceremony on May 4, 2006, METALFORM Mexico was honored as one of four finalists in the category for best industrial show. Chuck Cross of Trade Show Consulting attended the awards ceremony and accepted a plaque on behalf of PMA.

"We are very appreciative of the recognition because it acknowledges the show as a quality and valued event," said Randy Kish, PMA's exhibition marketing manager. "As METALFORM strives to build the importance of tool and die, metal stamping and assembly manufacturing in Mexico, it is this type of recognition that supports the show's positive momentum."

Since its debut in 2004 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, METALFORM Mexico has alternated each year between Mexico City and Monterrey, effectively covering the entire Mexican metalforming market. The 2006 exhibition is scheduled to be held on November 7-9 at Centro Banamex in Mexico City, with exhibit space already 75 percent filled.
